New Alcan Composites Trade Show Booth features durable DiBond Panels.

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (7/11/2008) -- Alcan Composites USA is sporting a new trade show booth that not only markets its graphic display boards and aluminum composite materials, it's made of them.

The new 20-by-20 foot booth was created by ACI Design in Charlotte, N.C., to serve both the graphic display and architectural business groups through a change of panels direct printed with marketing messages for each industry.

"By creating one booth for use by both the graphic display and architectural businesses, we were able to give Alcan Composites more bang for the buck because they were able to split the cost between two budgets," said Dain Richie, president, ACI Design. "Additionally, this booth is designed to support current marketing communications messages, as well as future campaigns - for both markets. It had to be flexible."

The booth features a contemporary Delta Matrix aluminum frame system and "skins" that can be attached with Velcro Brand fasteners. ACI Design used 54 sheets of 3mm white Dibond in 39-by-78 inch cut-to-size panels for the skins. Graphics include UV direct-printed murals on Dibond. "We can change the murals on the outside of the exhibit and change the header, which features a custom radius frame," said Richie. "A tower was created from Dibond panels with a slight radius to hold 3-by-5 inch product samples for the graphic display market. For architectural trade shows, we use this space to display sample models of Alucobond attachment techniques."

Booth header radius panels were formed from Dibond and feature cut-out letter product logos, including Alucobond for the architectural market routed from 13mm black Sintra with a 3mm black Dibond face adhered with contact cement for added depth. Graphic display product logos were cut from 13mm black Sintra and feature a 3mm Dibond decorative face in each of the Metal Series colors, including: Fome-Cor (Brushed Stainless), Gatorfoam (Brushed Gold), Structa-Board (Brushed Silver), Sintra (Brushed Bronze) and Dibond (Brushed Copper.)

"We've used all of these products and endorse them 100 percent," said Richie. "They continue to provide innovative solutions for exhibit designers."

"We market durable Dibond for long-term use in the exhibit industry, so we couldn't have chosen a better product for our own trade show booth," said Mike McKitrick, product manager, Alcan Composites USA. "The white Dibond direct-printed well and provides a clean, contemporary look. And, because these Dibond panels can be changed easily to support both graphic display and architectural marketing messages, both business groups will reap long-term cost savings."

Another unique booth feature includes three Internet-accessible kiosks that allow customers to view both markets' web sites -  www.alcancompositesusa.com and www.alucobondusa.com.

The new Alcan Composites USA trade show booth debuted at GlobalShop 2008 in Chicago March 23-25 for graphic designers and at AIA 2008 in Boston May 15-17 for architects.
